Jack Johnson, Wigan Warriors, Media Assistant, work experience

When he's not too busy planning three-course meals with the @englandrugbyleague official squad, Jack has been blogging for Team JJ about his Work Experience with our lovely friends at @wiganwarriorsrl. Check out Week One:

'First of all, I would like to say how grateful I am to Kris Radlinski and Wigan Warriors for inviting me down to volunteer at the club.

As part of my work experience over the next few weeks there, they will be showing me what it is like to be a part of the club’s community. They are building a community at Robin Park not just for the staff but for the people of Wigan.

When I arrived on Tuesday, I was welcomed into the club with warmth. It was truly lovely to feel. I was then put straight to work by the social media team as they showed me what a normal day is like for them. One of the members of staff Victoria, showed me the ropes including how to put the Try of the Month video together. Victoria made everything accessible for me and her input was amazing.

The other members of the social media team were Stu and Thomas who also helped make the day even more special, running me through the exciting things I will be doing over the next few weeks.

At lunch, Victoria showed me some of the Wigan graphics and how they are put together in photoshop. This was really helpful as it gave me an idea of what I would be learning and the projects I will be working on at the club.

At the end of day, everyone said how amazing I did on my first day and how excited they were for me to return. I said goodbye to the graphics team and headed home, after my first great day of working with the Wigan team.

On Thursday, I got to meet and work with the England team who were training at Wigan ahead of their match with France at the weekend. It was good to meet the players, and interviewing some of them for Warriors TV was great – hope everyone liked @tylerdupree8's three-course meal.

Thanks to Wigan Warriors and Joining Jack teams from me for making this possible, I’m back in on Tuesday.'

Jack
