Our co-founder Alex Johnson is featured alongside Emily Reuben from our charity partners Duchenne UK in the Summer 2025 edition of Rare Revolution magazine in a powerful piece entitled 'The Promise.'

Both mums to sons with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), Alex and Emily met at a conference more than a decade ago. Their shared experience sparked a powerful friendship, and they have been breaking down barriers for people with Duchenne ever since.

'Our journey is to end Duchenne, cure Duchenne and we will work with anyone to make that happen.

Until that promise is fulfilled , celebrations remain on hold.

There are no partial victories in their world While this uncompromising approach is brutal on the pair , it is the very thing that has driven unprecedented progress in DMD research.
